2022 MFMR Convention – Andrew Reid

Overall, I’m quite happy with how the weekend came together. Unfortunately, we had a few things working against us … We were well into 2022 before we could start planning, and there was a lot of uncertainty early-on as to whether the event would even happen. Delegate Registration was lower than we had hoped for, too, and several key vendors were unable to make it or are no longer with us. We certainly don’t feel like it’s our best work … in fact, we know we can do better. But everyone we spoke to over the weekend seemed happy with the result; we had a couple layouts, a few clinics, some vendors and some public attendance. We’re still settling the accounts from the weekend, so the jury is still out on whether we’ll be breaking even or not. But given everything that has happened over the past two years, and everything that was happening in the local community the same day, we’re happy to count this as a victory and look forward to hosting again…..just not for a few years!

I can’t say ‘thank you’ enough to everyone that registered, hauled their layout, brought their wares to sell or just dropped by for a few hours to show their support. We really, really appreciate it!
